Spring Wedding at Woodbine Mansion | Katherine + Brady

It’s so fun to get to see a couple say ‘I do’ on their wedding day after spending so much time with them. I had the pleasure of shooting Katherine and Brady’s proposal, engagement photos, Katherine’s bridals and finally, their beautiful spring wedding day!

Timeless Wedding Day

Hanging wisteria, statuesque columns, and a gorgeous winding staircase made this Texas spring wedding just about as timeless as they come. Katherine’s choice of lilac as a pop of color was such a beautiful touch to the already beautiful Woodbine Mansion. It also accented the crisp and clean look of the black and white color palette of the day perfectly.

Grand Staircase First Look

Katherine and Brady chose to do a first look on their wedding day and I was so excited with the idea of using the grand staircase at Woodbine Mansion for this. It was the perfect intimate moment for these two as they got ready to say ‘I do’!

Portraits Before the Ceremony

One of my favorite time saving tips for couples on their wedding days is to take as many portraits before the ceremony as you can. I know that a first look may not be for everyone, but you can still take some wedding party and family photos prior to make for a shorter photo session after the ceremony!

After Katherine and Brady’s first look, we were able to capture their couples portraits before the ceremony. We also brought the wedding party out for portraits and it was so nice to not feel rushed. Everyone was at ease instead of trying to rush off to cocktail hour.

Hanging Wisteria Ceremony Site

When the week of Katherine and Brady’s wedding arrived, there were storms everyday and a large chance of rain on their wedding day. As vendors do in situations like this, we had two plans to make sure their day came to life no matter what the weather decided to do. However, when the skies parted to a beautiful day after a few morning sprinkles, we were ecstatic and immediatley started preparing and decorating the mansion for Plan A. One of my favorite parts of this plan meant that Bouquets of Austin was able to move forward for a hanging wisteria arch for their ceremony site and it was absolutely stunning! It was the perfect touch to a spring wedding and now I think all of my couples need one for their day.

Tented Spring Wedding Reception

No detail was missed as guests made their way to the reception space. A spectacular tent was set up to create an elegant space to celebrate with their guest. The Mexican food catering was the perfect touch for this Texas wedding. Once the food was served and toast were said, the reception was a nonstop dance party. It was such a wonderful thing to see these two get to celebrate their love with their closest family and friends after planning through a pandemic.

A Grand Exit

What better way to send these two off than with the most epic grand exit from Big Dog Pyro? I couldn’t think of two people who deserved to be celebrated any bigger than these two. Cheers to the Rathgebers!
