When one of your best friends gets married at Prospect House, how do you say no to capturing the day for her? Kat and I met at our shared office space and after a few months of chatting, I invited her to my bible study. After that, the rest was history and we’ve been friends ever since! When Miles proposed she gave me the option of being a bridesmaid or shooting the wedding day and I just couldn’t say no to capturing this special moment in her life.

A Prospect House Love Story
Kat and Miles met on Hinge in 2019 and quickly fell in love. After making it through multiple deployments while Miles was in the military, he knew Kat was the one and he made a plan to propose. She had always told him she loved Prospect House and he knew that was where he wanted to pop the question. From there, the planning began to return to Prospect House for their wedding in 2022.
A Spunky and Colorful Wedding Day
Uptown Events did an amazing job of bringing Kat’s vision to life. The best way to describe her personality is a mix of edgy/spunky with a little bit of color. All of the details from the day showed this perfectly and couldn’t have matched her style better.

The Perfect Backup Plan
Sometimes things don’t go as planned in the wedding world and that’s why there’s almost always a backup plan – especially when weather is involved. Right before they were about to have their grand exit, a massive storm came out of nowhere. We quickly switched gears and had a bubble exit under the covered breezeway. In the end, these turned out to be some of my favorite exit photos!
